According to People, American rapper and singer-songwriter Chris Brown is being sued for allegedly beating up a man at a nightclub in London.
Abe Diaw alleges in a complaint filed on Thursday and obtained by People that in February at TAPE in London, the “Under the Influence” singer struck him in the face with a bottle of Don Julio 1942 tequila.
According to the lawsuit, Brown, 34, was charged with “beating” Diaw in the head with “crushing blows” in order to render him unconscious. After that, according to reports, Brown “continued to ruthlessly stomp” on him for “30 seconds.”
According to the lawsuit, Diaw, who was 43 at the time, “ended up in the hospital with lacerations on his head and torn ligaments in his leg,” resulting in “severe emotional distress” and “permanent” harm. According to Diaw, TAPE captured the confrontation on camera, as People reported.
According to the lawsuit, Diaw is suing Brown for damages and is asking for a jury trial. People’s request for response was not immediately answered by the singer’s representative or attorneys.
Brown’s legal troubles date back to 2009, when he violently attacked Rihanna, who was then his girlfriend. After Rihanna was admitted to the hospital with apparent face injuries, Brown was charged on March 5 with felony assault and making criminal threats.
Most recently, in May, Brown and Usher reportedly got into a fight the day before they took the stage at the Lovers & Friends music festival in Las Vegas, reported People.
