Ukraine: 4 killed in Kryvyi Rih missile strike

According to CNN, at least four people were killed in Russia’s missile strike on the central Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih on Monday, citing the country’s emergency services.

The strike resulted in the injuries of 43 individuals. According to CNN, a rescue squad of 230 personnel and 57 vehicles is searching for survivors from the two buildings damaged in the attack.

And they rescued three individuals from the wreckage, including a kid born in 2013, while 30 others were taken out of the structures that remained.

Russia launched two missiles at the central Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine’s Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko said, adding that a four-story school building was struck and parts of the fourth through ninth floors of a nearby residential tower were destroyed.

Klymenko also said people were likely trapped under the rubble and that first responders were working at the scene.

“We are trying to save as many people as possible,” President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Twitter.
