Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has ordered an investigation into the death of four laborers following an industrial accident at the Kudargarhi Aluminium Plant in Ambikapur, Surguja district, on Sunday. The accident occurred when the plant’s coal bunker collapsed due to overfilling, officials reported.

In a statement on social media, the Chief Minister expressed his condolences, saying, “Tragic news has been received about the death of four workers and injuries to several others in an industrial accident at the Alumina Plant in Surguja. An investigation has been ordered, and strict action will be taken against those responsible. My thoughts are with the families of the deceased, and I pray for peace for the departed souls, strength for their families, and a speedy recovery for the injured.”

The injured workers are currently receiving treatment at Ambikapur Medical College Hospital. Reports indicate that all the affected workers were from Bihar and Madhya Pradesh. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Ambikapur, Prabodh Minj, visited the site to assess the situation.
