The State Transport Authority’s Command & Control Centre (C&CC) recently organized a live demonstration for the public, unveiling the advanced Vehicle Location Tracking Devices (VLTD) and panic buttons that have been installed in all registered public service vehicles in Chandigarh.
In case of emergency situations, individuals are urged to press the panic button. Upon activation, the Command & Control Centre (C&CC) immediately receives panic alerts. Simultaneously, alerts are transmitted to NERS-112 Chandigarh Police in real time, providing accurate location information for a swift and targeted response, such as medical aid or fire control, to ensure passenger safety. It is strongly recommended that people opt for or hire public service vehicles equipped with Vehicle Location Tracking Devices and Panic Buttons to enhance their travel safety.
The panic button initiates real-time alerts sent seamlessly to both the Command & Control Centre (C&CC) and NERS-112 Chandigarh Police, establishing a dual alert system for immediate action and necessary assistance, be it medical or fire-related.
