With the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) working to solve the mysterious case of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, persons linked to the actor are undergoing several rounds of questioning. The latest in the list are Rhea Chakraborty’s parents.
On its 12th day of investigation, the CBI on Tuesday called Rhea’s parents for the first time for interrogation.
Rhea’s parents Indrajit and Sandhya Chakraborty reached the DRDO guest house in Santacruz in a car escorted by Mumbai Police around 10:50 am.
Rhea Chakraborty and her parents are among those named in the FIR registered by Patna Police for allegedly abetting the actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide and siphoning off his money.
Various questions were asked from Rhea’s parents like when they came to know about Sushant and Rhea’s relationship.
They were also asked whether they aware of Sushant’s illness, how close was Sushant to them, if there was any transaction of money between them and Sushant, why they allowed their flat’s address for Rhea and Sushant’s firms, if they had any knowledge about Rhea, Showik or Sushant taking drugs? This questioning went on for more than 8 hours.
On Tuesday also, dozens of people were called for questioning. Sushant’s friend and flatmate Siddhartha Pithani, Sushant’s former manager Shruti Modi, Jaya Shah, Samuel Miranda, Niraj, Keshav, Suved Lohia, Radhika Nihalani, Psychiatrist Kersi Chawda were all quizzed by CBI.
