Two former advisors of SSC were arrested in a recruitment-corruption case. The CBI arrested Shanti Prasad Sinha and Ashok Saha. Parth and Arpita has already been caught by the ED in the recruitment corruption case. After ED, the CBI arrested Shantiprasad and Ashok Saha for recruitment corruption. The name of Shantiprasad Sinha was number 1 in the CBI FIR and Ashok Saha was number 4 in the CBI FIR. The house of Shantiprasad-Ashok Saha’s was searched several times by the CBI. Two former advisors of SSC were arrested for non-cooperation in the investigation. It is to be noted that Shanti Prasad Sinha and Ashok Sahar were named in the report of the Bug Committee appointed by the High Court.

It is to be noted that Education Minister Bratya Basu had a meeting with the SSC agitator two days ago. After an hour-long meeting, Bratya Bose faced the journalists. He said, “I hope there will be no more difficulties in the future.’ Note that there are 6,000 deprived job seekers on the merit list.” However, in the meeting with the education minister on that day, everyone who was named in the merit list got an assurance of appointment. However, the movement will not be stopped with that assurance. The job seekers claim that they will stop the agitation only when they receive the appointment letter.

Bratya Basu said, “There are some legal aspects of recruitment that need to be looked into. More posts need to be created for this. Finance department approval is required to create this post. Cabinet approval will be required. Chief minister approval will be required. We have asked the SSC to look into how many additional posts need to be created as per their demand. We have told SSC that number of posts. Give us that number as soon as you can.” On the other hand, Shahidullah said on behalf of the agitators, “The education minister assured the meeting that everyone would get a job.” The protestors demanded, “All those on the merit list should be employed.” He said that the assurance had been given in the same way. Shahidullah also said, “No one whose name is on the merit list should be deprived. The discussion has been fruitful. 2159 seats have been created out of 6,000.” After 2 days of the education minister’s assurance, 2 more people were arrested for SSC corruption recruitment. They will be produced in the special CBI court tomorrow.
