Amid the budget session in Haryana, the report of the CAG was placed before the Assembly which raised questions on the working of the state government.

According to the report of March 2019, unauthorised colonies grew in the state due to non-compliance to the extant provisions in the acts and rules. There were instances of granting licence in excess of the permissible area, delay in initiation of actions for cancellation of licence, etc. Change of land use permissions were granted in violations of rules. Besides compliance issues, the total financial implication of this audit is Rs 91.19 crore.

The reports also revealed the Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme scam and the total financial implication of the performance audit is Rs 89.05 crore.
