Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, the leading doubles pair from India, made a notable climb in the latest BWF rankings announced on Tuesday. They advanced by one position to secure their highest-ever world ranking of number 4.

With their impressive achievements in the past, including winning the gold medal at the Commonwealth Games and the French Open Super 750 title last year, as well as clinching the Swiss Open Super 300 championship this season, the dynamic duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty has accumulated a total of 74,651 points from 12 tournaments. Their exceptional performances have contributed to their rise in the BWF rankings to achieve a career-best ranking of world number 4.

Following his recent victory at the Malaysia Masters, HS Prannoy has made a significant leap in the BWF rankings, moving up one place to reclaim the world number 8 ranking. Additionally, Kidambi Srikanth has also shown a commendable performance, climbing three positions to secure his spot back in the top 20. Srikanth now holds the 20th position in the rankings. Both players have demonstrated their skills and determination, earning them well-deserved recognition in the badminton world.

Lakshya Sen has experienced a slight setback in the rankings, slipping one place to the 23rd position in the world. In women’s singles, PV Sindhu, the double Olympic medallist, maintained her position at the 13th spot. Furthermore, in women’s doubles, Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand retained their 15th position. While there have been some fluctuations in the rankings, these talented players continue to make their mark in the badminton arena.
