Zomato co-founder and Chief People Officer Akriti Chopra has stepped down from her role, marking the end of her 13-year association with the food delivery company.
Zomato informed the stock exchanges that Chopra’s resignation is effective immediately.
In her resignation email to Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal, Chopra stated, “Deepi, as discussed, I am formally submitting my resignation, effective today, September 27, 2024. These 13 years have been an incredibly enriching journey. Thank you for everything. I’m just a call away. Wishing you and Eternal all the very best.”
Chopra initially joined Zomato in 2011 as a senior manager in finance and operations. She went on to serve as the company’s Chief Financial Officer, a role she handed over to Akshant Goyal in 2020, and most recently held the position of Chief People Officer.
