Tata-Owned Air India Welcomes Its First Narrow Body Aircraft

Indian airline Air India welcomes its first narrow-body aircraft in New Delhi. The Airbus A320 Neo identified as VT-RTN reached Indira Gandhi International Airport from airbus facility, which is located in Toulouse, France on Sunday.

This aircraft consists of three-class configuration, which include premium business class seats, 24 luxury economy seats with extra space for legroom and 132 economy class seats.

For the first time, this tata-owned airline will be giving luxurious economy on its narrow body airline. This airline will commence its service in August 2024. Initially, it will operate on domestic short routes.

Already, the three A320 Neo aircraft have already started the operations with three-class configuration in their old Air India livery within the domestic purview.

Meanwhile from next year, Air India aims to improve the flying experience of customers by adding new, enhanced and refurbished airline across both its narrow body and wide body fleets.

As per the company, this launch of this narrow body aircraft is a huge milestone in their transformation journey.
