BTS member J-Hope has made headlines after purchasing two luxury apartments in Seoul, with reports stating he paid a whopping Rs 125 crore entirely in cash. According to a report from BizHankook, the K-pop star acquired a penthouse in the prestigious Seobinggo-dong neighborhood in Yongsan, Seoul. The cost of the penthouse was 12 billion KRW (approximately 9 million USD), and he did not take out a mortgage for the purchase.

Second Purchase Below the Penthouse

In a surprising move, shortly after purchasing the penthouse, J-Hope also bought another apartment unit directly below it. Reports suggest that the singer signed the contract for this second property on June 23, 2020, and completed the final payment on July 26 this year.

A Real Estate Enthusiast

This isn’t J-Hope’s first foray into real estate. The BTS rapper had previously bought two other luxury apartments in Seoul. With these new acquisitions, J-Hope now owns a total of four high-end homes in the South Korean capital. The current market value of his recent purchases is estimated to be between 11 and 12 billion KRW, which amounts to 8.2 to 9 million USD.

J-Hope’s Military Service and Promotion

J-Hope, who enlisted in the military in April last year, is currently serving as an instructor at the Baekho Recruit Training Center under the 36th Infantry Division. He has been making waves not just for his real estate ventures but also for his military service, earning a two-month early promotion to the rank of corporal. J-Hope is expected to be discharged on October 17 this year.
