Former West Indies player and coach of Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Dwayne Bravo, made it clear that he is ‘100 percent sure’ that Mahi will take part as a player in the next IPL edition in 2024.

Bravo, who was Dhoni’s teammate in his playing days, said there have been several speculations in the air regarding his retirement after the end of the ongoing IPL edition.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni has an emotional relationship with the Chennai Super Kings. He has been associated with CSK since the first session. It is needless to say that he emerged as one of the most successful captains in the history of the IPL. Under his captaincy, CSK made it to the final of the ongoing season yet again by defeating defending champions the Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 1. This will be the 10th final for the CSK.

Dhoni said after the post match ceremony against GT that he has not decided about his future yet. He went on to say that he has ample time to think about it. He further added that, at present, the focus is on the ongoing edition of the IPL.

“I don’t know. I have 8–9 months to decide. The small auction will be in December. So why take that headache right now? I have ample time to decide. But I will always be there for CSK, whether it’s in the playing field or sitting somewhere outside,” Dhoni said.
