The Triennial National Convention (TNC) and Reunion of the BRAVEST of the braves, including recipients of the Param Vir Chakra, Maha Vir Chakra, and Vir Chakra (Victoria Cross/ Military Cross, World War II), is scheduled to take place at the Chandimandir Military Station on March 16-17, 2024. Lt Gen Manoj Katiyar AVSM, GOC-in-C Western Command, will grace the occasion as the Guest of Honour.

This highly anticipated event, which occurs every five years, has been postponed due to the challenges posed by the Covid19 pandemic. However, it is expected to draw a significant number of war heroes, Veer Naris, and Next of Kin (NOK) of posthumous awardees.
The Convention serves as a platform for pan-India war heroes from all three Defence Services to come together, sharing their experiences, hopes, aspirations, and addressing challenges encountered in their later years. Discussions will also revolve around enhancing the effective utilization of this esteemed group of individuals for integrated nation-building efforts.

The Western Command Hq has dedicated its resources to fully support this event, recognizing its immense national significance in honoring war heroes and Veer Naris while paying tribute to their sacrifices and contributions.
