The Bombay High Court has rejected the reinstatement of a doctor at Shirdi’s Sai Baba Hospital. The doctor was dismissed from his duty after he refused to admit a patient who later lost his life. According to reports, the doctor was on duty in June 2009 when a boy bitten by a snake was brought to the hospital in emergency for treatment. The doctor referred the patient to Sainath Hospital without administering an anti-venom injection. After that Sainath Hospital sent him back without admission. After not getting timely treatment, the 11-year old-child died. The doctor was dismissed from his services in December 2010.The court later upheld his removal in January 2015 and he approached the court last year seeking a review. A bench of Justice T.V. Nalawade and Justice Mangesh Patil dismissed his review petition.
