Vijay Deverakonda Unveils Rashmika’s Character In ‘The Girlfriend’ Teaser

Riding high on the success of Pushpa 2, actress Rashmika Mandanna is all set to make her return to the big screen with her upcoming film The Girlfriend.

The teaser for the film was launched by Rashmika’s rumored boyfriend, actor Vijay Deverakonda, who also wished her success.

The Girlfriend, written and directed by Rahul Ravindran, features Rashmika Mandanna alongside Dheekshith Shetty, Rao Ramesh, and Rohni in key roles. The film’s release date has yet to be announced.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Vijay shared the teaser while calling Rashmika a “lucky charm” for many actors. The Arjun Reddy actor also provided the voiceover for the teaser and wrote a heartfelt note praising Rashmika and the film:

“I love every visual of this teaser. I am so excited to see this drama unfold. She has been a lucky charm for so many of us actors, being part of our biggest successes. Growing fiercely as an actor, a performer, and a star but all the while still remaining the same girl as a person, the same girl I met on sets 8 years ago. Wishing you @iamRashmika all success on your first project where you shoulder so much responsibility. And Dearest @23_rahulr who I know will tell a great story that will move every audience.”

The one-minute-and-thirty-four-second teaser showcases Rashmika displaying a wide range of emotions, from crying and happiness to sadness, daydreaming, and surprise. The film is expected to center around a college romance between Rashmika and Dheekshith Shetty. The music for the film was composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab, while the cinematography was done by Krishnan Vasant, and editing was handled by Chota K Prasad.

Meanwhile, Rashmika continues to shine in Pushpa 2, alongside Allu Arjun, which has garnered widespread acclaim.
