Fans quickly flooded the comments section with enthusiasm. One user wrote, “Welcome to RebelWood,” while another exclaimed, “This is huge.” A third fan highlighted the casting shift, saying, “Deepika out, Triptii in!!! Vanga trusts her too much.” Another simply shouted, “I’m screaming.”
A Pan-India Vision and Fresh Pairing
The post by Triptii Dimri included her name in several languages, such as Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Chinese, and Japanese, suggesting that Spirit has planned for a huge pan-Indian and global release.
Deepika Padukone was initially approached to play the female lead opposite Prabhas. However, reports from Bollywood Hungama indicate that she dropped out of the project after refusing to work more than six hours a day. This led to a fallout with the producers.
This will mark Triptii Dimri’s first time sharing the screen with Prabhas and her second collaboration with Sandeep Reddy Vanga after Animal. The production of Spirit is expected to begin in 2025, setting the stage for another ambitious cinematic venture.
