Referring to Balfe as a “dear friend” and a “brilliant” composer, Cruise also extended his appreciation to the orchestra.

“I’ve always wanted to experience a film like this with a live, full symphony orchestra, synchronized to picture, in front of a packed audience in the grandeur of a classic movie palace,” he remarked. Cruise concluded his speech with heartfelt thanks, telling the crowd to “enjoy” the concert, noting that he would be watching alongside them.
