Stree 2 Day 1 Collection : Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao’s Film Surpasses Rs 50 Crore

Amar Kaushik’s highly anticipated sequel, Stree 2, has made a remarkable return to the big screen, delivering a strong box office performance six years after its predecessor. The horror-comedy, featuring a star-studded cast including Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Pankaj Tripathi, was released on August 14.

The film’s opening day saw limited night shows earning Rs 8.35 crore. On its second day, which was the main release day, Stree 2 went head-to-head with Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Vedaa. Despite the competition, it managed to earn a notable Rs 46 crore, bringing its total collection to Rs 54.35 crore.

Box Office Breakdown:

  • Day 0: Rs 8.35 Crore
  • Day 1: Rs 46.00 Crore
  • Total Collection: Rs 54.35 Crore

The film generated considerable buzz, reflected in strong advance bookings despite the release coinciding with two other major films. Following a period of low box office activity, Stree 2 is revitalizing interest in Hindi cinema, echoing the last significant hit, Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, from December 2023.

Review Highlights: According to Zoom’s review, Stree 2 sets an engaging tone right from the start with its chilling atmosphere and thrilling score. The film successfully blends humor and horror, delivering an entertaining experience that meets, and even exceeds, audience expectations.
