Sonam Kapoor Discusses Post-Pregnancy Body Image Challenges

Sonam Kapoor recently spoke about her struggles with body image after giving birth to her son, Vayu. In an interview, she shared how her body changed during and after her pregnancy.

At 36, Sonam gained 15 kilos in the first three months due to medication. She said, “I went back to my heaviest ever.” She expected to return to her old body after having the baby, but that didn’t happen. It took her about a year and a half to lose the weight.

Sonam Kapoor has always faced pressure about her body because of her career in acting. “In this profession, you’re constantly judging yourself,” she said. She has been in the spotlight since she was young and has seen her body and face change over time.

Motherhood has been important to Sonam. She feels more connected to her baby now than if she had given birth at a younger age. Her husband, Anand Ahuja, has been very supportive, sharing all the responsibilities with her.

Sonam, who married Anand Ahuja in 2018, had Vayu in 2022. She now splits her time between India and the UK and appeared in the 2023 movie *Blind*. Her openness about her struggles helps many who might be dealing with similar issues.
