Recent reports suggested that Shah Rukh Khan had traveled to the United States for eye surgery. However, these rumors were put to rest when the actor was seen in Mumbai on Wednesday night. Shah Rukh was attending the birthday party of his Pathaan director, Siddharth Anand, at a restaurant in Bandra.
In a video shared by a paparazzo on Instagram, Shah Rukh was seen entering the restaurant through a back entrance. Accompanied by a substantial security detail and his manager, Pooja Dadlani, he wore a black t-shirt, a matching jacket, and blue jeans. His hair was tied back in a ponytail, and he wore dark sunglasses. Later, he was spotted leaving the restaurant, wearing only the black t-shirt and carrying his jacket. He then got into his white SUV, which promptly drove away.
Previously, after attending the wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, Shah Rukh and his family had traveled to London. They were there for several weeks working on pre-production for his upcoming film King, in which he will star alongside his daughter, Suhana Khan.
However, Shah Rukh, his wife Gauri Khan, and Suhana quickly returned to Mumbai upon learning of the passing of filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan’s mother. They visited Farah’s home, where Shah Rukh was seen embracing and comforting her as they departed.
Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film King, directed by Sujoy Ghosh, will be co-produced by his own Red Chillies Entertainment and Siddharth Anand’s Marflix Pictures. The movie will also feature Abhishek Bachchan as the lead antagonist.
