Taylor elaborated, “The marquise cut, with its elongated and pointed shape, is a statement choice, known for its brilliance and the way it elongates the finger, creating a striking and elegant look.” She also shared the intriguing royal history of the marquise cut, which originated in the 18th century. King Louis XV of France commissioned the design to resemble the smile of his mistress, the Marquise de Pompadour, making it a sparkling symbol of love both then and now.
