India and Pakistan announced a ceasefire. The news drew attention from many, including Bollywood celebrities. Actor Salman Khan quickly posted his reaction on X (formerly Twitter) just minutes after the news broke.
He wrote, “Thank God for the ceasefire….” But soon after, he deleted the post.

Salman’s tweet sparked strong reactions. Some people appreciated his hope for peace. However, others criticised the timing, especially after the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.
One angry user posted, “Salman Khan. He was silent for 2-3 days, then tweeted right after the ceasefire agreement. Remember him. Never watch his films again if you’re a true Indian.”
On the other hand, another user defended the actor. They wrote, “We know Salman bhai as a person who always wants peace and love, not just with Pakistan but with all neighbouring countries. Civilians from India will die. Yesterday’s timing might not have been ideal, but he supports the PM’s ceasefire decision, which I think is right.”
Salman’s Earlier Response to Pahalgam Attack
Earlier, Salman Khan had also reacted to the terror strike in Pahalgam on April 22. That attack killed 26 civilians and shocked the nation.
In his emotional post, he said, “Kashmir, heaven on planet earth, turning into hell. Innocent people are being targeted, my heart goes out to their families. Ek bhi innocent ko maarna puri kainath ko maarne ke barabar hai.”
Indian Forces Launch Operation Sindoor
In response to the Pahalgam incident, the Indian Armed Forces carried out Operation Sindoor on May 7. They targeted terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoK).
Moreover, they avoided hitting civilian and military areas, despite interference from the Pakistani military. The mission was precise and carefully planned.
