Saif Ali Khan is out of danger and Recovering After Stabbing Incident, Gratitude to Fans and Well-Wishers

Actor Saif Ali Khan is now safe after receiving treatment for stab wounds he suffered during an attack at his home early Thursday morning. After the incident, Saif was taken to Lilavati Hospital, where he had multiple surgeries to address six stab wounds.

A statement from Saif’s team, issued around noon on Thursday, confirmed his recovery status. “Saif Ali Khan has come out of surgery and is out of danger. He is currently in recovery and the doctors are monitoring his progress. All family members are safe and the police is investigating the incident,” the statement read.

The actor’s team also conveyed their thanks to the medical personnel and fans for their support: “We would like to thank Dr. Niraj Uttamani, Dr. Nitin Dange, Dr. Leena Jain, and the team at Lilavati Hospital. Thank you to all his fans and well-wishers for their prayers and thoughts during this time,” the team concluded. It was previously confirmed that the injury resulted from an attempted burglary.

Lilavati Hospital’s COO, Dr. Niraj Uttamani, elaborated that the actor incurred six stab wounds, including one near his spine and another on his neck. Two surgeries were performed, and a foreign object from a broken knife was located near Saif’s spine and extracted. This object was turned over to the police. Saif has since been transferred to the ICU, where he will stay under observation for 24 hours.

In a different statement, Kareena Kapoor’s team confirmed the attempted burglary: “There was an attempted burglary in Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s residence last night. Saif had an injury on his arm for which he is in the hospital, undergoing a procedure. The rest of the family is doing fine. ”

The attack took place around 2:30 a. m. when an intruder broke into Saif and Kareena’s Bandra home. According to police sources, Saif tried to intervene and calm the intruder but was assaulted in the process. Saif was rapidly taken to Lilavati Hospital by his son Ibrahim Ali Khan, who was at the scene, along with Saif’s wife Kareena and their two children, Taimur and Jeh. Police are currently looking into the incident.
