Rushad Rana Recalls Aishwarya Rai Ignoring Him on Mohabbatein Set

Rushad Rana, who played a student in Shah Rukh Khan’s class in the 2000 film Mohabbatein, recently shared his experience working alongside stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Aishwarya Rai. In a candid interview, Rushad reflected on his time filming the Aditya Chopra-directed movie, revealing an interesting encounter with Aishwarya Rai.

Aishwarya Rai Seemed Distant

While praising Shah Rukh for his friendliness, Rushad mentioned that Aishwarya appeared to ignore him during their time on set. “I didn’t have any interaction with Aishwarya. She chose to look right through us,” Rushad explained during the interview with Siddharth Kannan. He added that a similar situation occurred later with Preity Zinta during the filming of Veer Zaara. “That’s okay; what can you do? You can’t exactly say ‘Hi’ to those who choose to ignore you,” he remarked.

Fond Memories of Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji

Despite Aishwarya’s aloofness, Rushad had positive experiences with Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji. He was pleasantly surprised when Shah Rukh remembered him from Mohabbatein when they met again while filming Veer Zaara. Rushad also recalled a warm interaction with Rani Mukerji during the same project.
