A sudden theft of ₹40 lakh has been reported from the office of renowned Bollywood music composer Pritam Chakraborty. The incident came to light when Pritam’s manager discovered the cash missing and immediately reported the matter to the Malad Police Station. Mumbai Police have launched an investigation into the case.
Employee Suspected
Pritam’s manager Vineet Chheda claimed that the money had been brought to the office a few days back for official purposes. He accepted the money and kept it in the office, and Ashish Sayal, the employee was sitting there.
Not much later, Chheda departed for Pritam’s residence to get a few documents signed. He came back to find that the cash bag had disappeared. Other employees informed him that Sayal took the bag with him saying that he was dropping it at Pritam’s residence.
Missing Suspect
When Chheda tried calling Sayal, his phone was switched off. He immediately rushed to Sayal’s residence worried about the missing money. The person was found absent at home. Feeling that the situation had gone grave, he approached the Malad Police Station and filed an official complaint.
After filing the complaint, police registered a case and launched an investigation. Authorities are carrying out searches to catch the culprit, and more information is being awaited. This theft has disturbed the entertainment arena of Bollywood very much, leaving many in disbelief over the affair. The police are likely to update more facts as the police investigation continues further.
