Bollywood’s latest debutante Rasha Thadani, daughter of veteran actress Raveena Tandon, made a stunning entry into the industry with Abhishek Kapoor’s Azaad.

She stars alongside Ajay Devgn and Aaman Devgan. The similarity in performances between actresses Rasha and Raveena has already drawn comparisons from fans. This ranges from dancers’ expressions to the naturalness of acting.

Above that, Rasha has a bond with her mother that is loving and close to her heart; she calls her not just her parent but also her best friend.

Rasha Thadani Bond With Mom

While talking to Instant Bollywood, Rasha was lavish in praise about her relationship with Raveena Tandon; she called her a “cool mom” who is always with her.

“She’s my best friend,” Rasha said, while emphasizing that despite Raveena correcting her sometimes, she had always been her backbone. Asking if her mother was strict while raising her, Rasha admitted that things changed once she turned 14 years old.

“Hopefully, by 14, I learned, and if I didn’t, of course, I got scolded. But now, the yelling has reduced,” she said with a laugh.  “I Was Very Naughty as a Child!”

She also gave a very funny childhood memory with Raveena who used to reprimand her for biting her nails or doing something naughty. “I used to get a little slap on the hand whenever I bit my nails. She would tap my hand and say, ‘Stop it, stop it!’ But I think every mother does that,” she added.

Reflecting on her mischievous childhood, she added, “I was so naughty! I was always up to something. My parents were often shocked by how much mischief I could get into!”

Azaad Hits Theatres

Rasha Thadani starrer Azaad premiered at big screens on January 17, 2025. The film, presented by Abhishek Kapoor, was a platform for younger talent; Rasha has emerged as one of the long-awaited personalities.
