Pushpa 2: Allu Arjun and Team Head to Sri Lanka for Action-Packed Shoot

Allu Arjun is currently filming for the highly anticipated “Pushpa 2: The Rule.” Fans are eagerly awaiting the movie’s release, and it has now been reported that the Telugu star will soon travel to Sri Lanka to film some action sequences for the Sukumar-directed project. According to E-Times, after completing the shoot in Hyderabad, Allu Arjun and his team will move to the jungles of Sri Lanka for the next phase of shooting.

A source mentioned, “In the month of September, the shooting for the film will move to the jungles of Sri Lanka with many scenes of Allu along with his gang members and other characters being shot there and also few action portions.”

This update follows a recent announcement from the makers of “Pushpa,” who confirmed that the film’s release date remains unchanged despite the ongoing production. The team shared on social media, “#Pushpa2TheRule is currently shooting a spectacular action episode for the climax #Pushpa2TheRule Grand release worldwide on 6th DEC 2024.”

Earlier in May, a report from Siasat revealed that director Sukumar had decided to shoot the climax of the film with extreme secrecy. To prevent any leaks, a strict no-phone policy was enforced on set, and access to the script was limited to only a select few.

In addition to the secrecy surrounding the climax, the makers of “Pushpa 2” released a teaser on Allu Arjun’s birthday earlier this year. The teaser featured the actor in a striking look, dressed in a saree with his face painted in blue and red shades, adorned with traditional gold jewelry and flowers, while he was seen taking on a group of goons.

Rashmika Mandanna, who stars in the film, also shared her excitement, promising that “Pushpa 2” will be even “bigger” than the first installment. She stated, “I can promise you that Pushpa 2 is going to be so much bigger. We gave some madness in the first film; in part 2, we know we have a responsibility because people have so much expectation from the film. We are constantly and consciously trying to deliver that,” she told Pinkvilla.

Originally scheduled for release on August 15, 2024, “Pushpa 2: The Rule” has been rescheduled to hit theaters on December 6, 2024.
