Twelve years after her father’s passing, actress and international star Priyanka Chopra Jonas paid a heartfelt tribute to him on social media. Dr. Ashok Chopra, who was both a physician and a former officer in the Indian Army, passed away in 2013 after a long fight with cancer.
To honour his memory, Priyanka posted an old photograph on her Instagram account. The picture shows her as a child, happily posing with her father—an image that captures the warmth and closeness they shared. Along with the picture, she simply wrote, “Miss you every day, Dad.”
Dr. Chopra’s death had a lasting effect on Priyanka. She has often described him as a major source of support and inspiration in her life. In earlier interviews, she spoke openly about the deep grief she still feels and how she used that emotional pain to add depth to her acting roles.
Professionally, Priyanka continues to stay busy. She will soon appear in the action-thriller Heads of State, sharing the screen with actors John Cena and Idris Elba. She is also working on The Bluff, a period drama.
In addition to films, she will return for Season 2 of Amazon’s spy series Citadel. Another exciting project in the pipeline is a movie directed by renowned filmmaker SS Rajamouli, featuring Mahesh Babu. The film is currently titled SSMB29.
