While promoting her upcoming film Retro, she shared that she would like to work in biopics in the future. When asked if she would be interested in a biopic on the legendary actress Sridevi, Pooja mentioned that she had already danced to Sridevi’s song “Elluvachi Godaramma” and said she would love to act in such a film. Her comments suggested admiration for the late actress and excitement about the possibility.
Inspired by Untold Stories
Pooja pointed out that although she had never done a biopic before, she found the idea exciting. She explained that stories of unsung heroes appealed to her more than those of well-known personalities. She also expressed interest in working on sports-based films, adding another genre to her wishlist.
A Natural Fit for a Powerful Role
Over the years, Pooja has worked with top stars in both Bollywood and the South Indian film industry. She has starred in many blockbuster films and built a strong fan base across India. With her experience and range as an actress, she could be a strong choice to portray someone as iconic as Sridevi. In addition to Retro, Pooja is filming another Bollywood project titled Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. She stars opposite Varun Dhawan in this romantic drama directed by David Dhawan. The release date for this film will be announced soon.
