July 23 – Suriya turned 49 today, and to celebrate, the makers of his upcoming film Suriya 44 have dropped an exciting new teaser. The teaser shows Suriya in a fierce gangster role, surrounded by his loyal goons.
To mark Suriya’s birthday, filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj shared the new teaser on Twitter. He wrote, “Happy Birthday @Suriya_offl sir. From Team Suriya 44,”along with the hashtags #HappyBirthdaySuriya and #HBDTheOneSuriya.
The teaser starts with the words “Somewhere in the sea” and then reveals scenes of goons standing near a place called “Royal Estate.” It features the text, “A love, a laughter, a war… awaits for… The One”, as Suriya’s silhouette appears. In the one-minute and 37-second clip, Suriya is shown with blood on his face, smoking a cigarette, and holding a gun, with his gang around him.

Fans are thrilled about the new teaser. One fan tweeted, “Blockbuster loading ”. Another fan shared a screenshot from the clip and said, “This one frame >> Vijay, Ajith’s whole career. RT if you agree.” Many others wished Suriya a happy birthday and filled the comments with fire emojis.
The official film account, 2D Entertainment, also shared the teaser, saying, “An unveiling maverick, ready to conquer. Join the frenzy for Love Laughter War and beyond! Happy Birthday THE ONE… wishes from Team Suriya 44.”
In June, the makers of ‘Suriya 44’ released a video showing a glimpse of Suriya’s retro look and announced that filming had started. The film features Suriya as a powerful gangster, with Pooja Hegde as the female lead. The cast also includes Jayaram, Karunakaran, and Joju George in important roles. Earlier in July, after a month of shooting in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Pooja Hegde wrapped up the first schedule of the film.
