Kareena Kapoor Khan Receives Court Notice For Using Term ‘Bible’ in Her Pregnancy Book Title

Kareena Kapoor Khan has been served a notice by the Madhya Pradesh High Court regarding her book title, ‘Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible,’ which includes the word ‘Bible.’ NDTV reported that an advocate named Christopher Anthony filed a petition objecting to the title and urging a ban on the book.

The advocate argued that the use of ‘Bible’ in Kareena’s book title is offensive to the Christian community’s sentiments and accused her of seeking “cheap publicity.” “Bible is the holy book of Christianity worldwide, and it’s inappropriate to compare Kareena Kapoor Khan’s pregnancy with the Bible,” he stated.

Justice Gurpal Singh Ahluwalia, a single-judge bench, issued the notice to Kareena Kapoor, demanding an explanation for the use of ‘Bible’ in the book’s title. Additionally, the notice was sent to the book’s sellers.

Initially, the advocate attempted to file an FIR against the actress, but the police declined. He then approached the lower court, but his plea was rejected, as he failed to demonstrate how the term “Bible” in the title was offensive. Subsequently, he appealed to the Additional Sessions Court, but his petition was dismissed there as well.

On the professional front, Kareena Kapoor recently starred in “Crew,” released in March this year, alongside Tabu and Kriti Sanon. The film revolves around the lives of three flight attendants in a financially struggling airline sector, entangled in a web of lies and deception.

Next, Kareena is set to appear in Rohit Shetty’s highly anticipated “Singham Again,” alongside Ajay Devgn, Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Tiger Shroff. In a conversation with Variety, she discussed her and Deepika Padukone’s pivotal roles in the Bollywood blockbuster.
