Karan Johar to Be Back with Koffee with Karan season 9

Karan Johar’s beloved chat show, Koffee with Karan, is set to make a comeback, with the filmmaker confirming that a new season will air in 2025.

Plans for the Next Season

Karan revealed his plans for the show’s return. He mentioned that they intend to take a break for a year and come back in 2025.

Karan expressed his desire to revamp the show based on feedback, particularly about the rapid-fire segment, which was deemed “boring” last season. He said, “I was like, ‘why am I even doing this?’ You’re not giving me questions. Should we just drop the rapid fire, and I will take the hamper because no one really deserves to win it. Now, I am like let’s change the world of Koffee with Karan with the ninth season. And it will be back with all the fun and the chattiness.”

He also noted that celebrities today are often hesitant to speak freely, unlike in previous seasons. Karan recalled how candid guests like Mahesh Bhatt used to be, joking, “With the way Bhatt sahab is, he will still give me such answers. But I think I would get into trouble. Like, you called him, and you got these answers. Why didn’t you edit?”

Recap of the Last Season

The eighth season of Koffee With Karan began with Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. Other guests included Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Sharmila Tagore, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, Rani Mukerji and Kajol, Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday, and Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor.
