Kapil Sharma Announces Season 2 of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ on Netflix

Kapil Sharma has officially confirmed that ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ will be returning for a second season on Netflix. The announcement comes after months of speculation and a hint from Netflix in June.

Kapil Sharma shared the news on Instagram, posting a picture of a bouquet alongside a preview of the show’s cast. His caption read, “The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2 is on the way,” much to the excitement of his fans.

Netflix India had previously hinted at a new season in a video that showcased highlights from the first season, which concluded on June 22. The video suggested that the second season would be arriving “sooner than you think,” encouraging viewers to binge-watch the first season while they waited.

Kapil Sharma expressed his gratitude for the global support the show has received. “This has been a wonderful first season of The Great Indian Kapil Show. We’ve had many firsts and will cherish them. We are grateful for all the love from around the world,” he said. He assured fans that the wait for the next season would not be long, advising them to enjoy the current season’s finale featuring Kartik Aryan and stay tuned for what’s next.

Tanya Bami, Series Head at Netflix India, also expressed excitement about the show’s return. “After a phenomenal first season, we’re thrilled to welcome Kapil and the team back. The Great Indian Kapil Show has become a cherished tradition for many, and Kapil’s unique ability to connect with audiences through humor is exceptional. We look forward to bringing even more laughter to audiences worldwide,” she said.
