Janhvi Kapoor has been quite open about her relationship with Shikhar Pahariya. Although she hasn’t addressed it directly, her comments and actions make it clear. In a recent interview with Hauterrfly, Janhvi shared that Shikhar is the only person who has ever broken her heart, only for them to reunite each time.
Heartbreak and Reconciliation
During the interview, Janhvi Kapoor talked about why she and Shikhar broke up during their earlier dating period. “In the couple of years of my periods, every month I would break up with this person. The first two or three months, he would be in shock, but after that, he would be like, ‘Yes, okay,’ and after two days, I would go back to him crying and saying sorry. I wouldn’t understand why my brain was working like this. It was very extreme,” she said.
She also revealed that Shikhar was the only person who had ever truly broken her heart, but he also mended it each time. “I have genuinely experienced heartbreak only one time in life but the same person came back and put my heart together. So, it was all good,” Janhvi shared.
Janhvi and Shikhar had dated for years before she entered Bollywood. After her relationship with Shikhar, she dated her first co-star, Ishaan Khatter, during the filming of Shashank Khaitan’s 2018 romantic drama Dhadak. Following their breakup, Janhvi reunited with Shikhar.

Janhvi Kapoor is gearing up for the release of Ulajh. The trailer showcases her as Suhana, the youngest Deputy High Commissioner, who is tasked with navigating a challenging mission at the London embassy while under close surveillance.
Gulshan Devaiah plays a mysterious undercover agent in the film, with Roshan Mathew also part of the ensemble cast. The trailer hints at an internal leak that endangers the lives of undercover agents and throws Suhana into a desperate struggle for survival.
Directed by Sudhanshu Saria, with a script by him and Parveez Shaikh, and dialogues by Atika Chauhan, Ulajh is slated for release in cinemas on August 2. Janhvi will also be seen in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, Devara: Part 1, and an upcoming film with Suriya.
