Gopichand Malineni’s maiden Bollywood film Jaat, starring Sunny Deol in the lead role, had a decent Monday. Despite a dip that’s par for the course, the film collected ₹63.75 crore worldwide in five days, according to Sacnilk. However, it falls short of Salman Khan’s recent film Sikandar.
Jaat Worldwide Box Office Collection
The trade website states Jaat earned ₹47.50 crore net and ₹56.15 crore gross in India within five days. It earned ₹7.60 crore abroad, bringing the overall to ₹63.75 crore globally. The movie registered a 48.21% decline on Monday in India with a 16.26% occupancy a good figure, but it is below how Sunny and Gopichand’s earlier movies fared.
Comparison with Past Releases
To begin, Gopichand’s latest film was Veera Simha Reddy with Balakrishna. The film raked in ₹98.40 crore in five days. Sunny’s latest film, Gadar 2, did even better, with ₹298.20 crore so far. And for reference, Salman Khan‘s latest release Sikandar raked in ₹149.25 crore in five days.
But after an opening of ₹13.25 crore worldwide on the box, the film did steady business mostly, even going up during the weekend, more so on Sunday.
