‘It’s Trauma for Me’: Kangana Ranaut Slams Bollywood Parties

Kangana Ranaut, known for her outspoken nature, has once again voiced her disdain for Bollywood’s social scene. As she prepares for the release of her upcoming film “Emergency,” where she will portray former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, Kangana opened up about her aversion to Bollywood parties, describing them as “traumatic” experiences.

In a recent conversation with Raj Shamani, Kangana Ranaut was asked about her friendships within the Bollywood industry. She candidly responded, “I’m not the Bollywood type, and I certainly can’t be friends with Bollywood people.” The actress went on to describe the film industry’s stars as “stupid” and “dumb,” criticizing their focus on superficial aspects like physical training and protein shakes. She added, “Their conversations don’t interest me at all.”

When Shamani suggested that not all Bollywood personalities might fit her description, Kangana Ranaut remained firm in her stance. “I’ve seen enough of Bollywood to know this. If they’re not shooting, their routine revolves around working out, napping, and watching TV. They are like grasshoppers, totally blank. How can you be friends with such people? They have no clue about what’s happening in the world. Their discussions are limited to clothes and accessories.”

Kangana acknowledged that some directors and writers engage in more meaningful conversations but questioned the practicality of socializing with them due to their age differences. “Why would I hang out with them?” she mused.

The actress also took a swipe at Bollywood parties, describing them as “embarrassing” due to the shallow conversations that take place. She even mimicked some industry figures discussing their schedules, diets, and dating rumors, concluding, “For me, a Bollywood party is like trauma.”

On the professional front, Kangana is set to star in and direct “Emergency,” marking her second directorial venture following “Manikarnika” in 2019. As always, she continues to make headlines not just for her work but also for her unfiltered views on the industry she is part of.
