Ajaz Khan’s new reality show, House Arrest, is under intense fire after a provocative clip went viral. The show, which airs on the OTT platform Ullu and YouTube, has come under intense fire for its raunchy content, prompting a demand for increased censorship of OTT platforms in India.
Controversial Clip Causes Outrage
The infamous clip of one of the episodes features Ajaz Khan asking contestants to enact different sex positions. The incident, which viewers found vulgar and inappropriate, features Ajaz prompting a contestant to display her sex position knowledge. When the contestant confesses that she doesn’t know the positions, Ajaz asks, “Tumne experiment nahi kiya kabhi? (Haven’t you ever experimented?)”

The matter becomes worse when contestant Ajaz instructs another contestant, Gehna Vasishth, to take two other contestants through demonstrating the positions. The contestants, consequently, do as they are instructed, making the whole scene very suggestive. As a result, viewers quickly protested, declaring the content to be inappropriate for the audience and blaming the producers of the show for going overboard.
Netizens Demand Tougher Censorship
The response has been instant, with many advocating for more stringent regulations to keep such blatant content from being spread. On social media platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), people have posted their anger, calling for the show to be taken to court.
One of the users tagged India’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (@MIB_India) and wrote, “Dear @AshwiniVaishnaw Ji @MIB_India, This is all being shown in Indian OTT these days. Another user condemned the content, stating, “What is this #cringefest? Who even watches this crap?.” Others tweeted their anger, demanding that the show be banned, and some asked for legal action against the producers.
One concerned user also posted, “This is pathetic’ what happened to the families of thee girls. High time government interfere. National commission for women should come forward too.”
Ajaz Khan’s Silence in the Face of Backlash
In spite of mounting outrage, outspoken and controversy-fueling Ajaz Khan has yet to speak about the criticism out loud. While the backlash strengthens, most wait to observe if the reality star will make an explanation regarding the universal calls for the show to be cancelled or more regulation of OTT shows.
