Singer Bruce Springsteen, renowned for iconic rock ‘n’ roll hits like “Badlands,” “Hungry Heart,” and “My Hometown,” has officially joined the billionaire ranks, according to a Forbes report.
The 74-year-old rock legend is now estimated to be worth $1.1 billion, based on a recent Forbes valuation. This substantial net worth has been bolstered by recent financial milestones.
In 2021, Springsteen sold his music catalog to Sony for between $500 million and $550 million, setting a record for the largest deal ever made for a single artist’s catalog. Additionally, in 2023, he sold over 1.6 million concert tickets, which generated $380 million in revenue.
With over 71 million albums sold in the US and 140 million globally, Bruce Springsteen is one of the highest-selling music artists of all time.
His financial portfolio also includes significant earnings from his Broadway residencies, which spanned 267 shows and grossed $113,058,952 at the box office.
Springsteen has won 20 Grammy Awards, an Oscar, and a special Tony Award for “Springsteen on Broadway,” his acclaimed solo show.
He was also honored with the Kennedy Center Honors in 2009 and the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2016.
Springsteen had to cancel the remaining dates of his 2023 tour due to treatment for peptic ulcer disease, but he is currently touring Europe, with his next performance scheduled in Norway on July 21. Recently, he released a new collaborative track with Zach Bryan titled “Sandpaper,” featured on Bryan’s album *The Great American Bar Scene*. Springsteen is also the subject of an upcoming biopic based on the book *Deliver Me From Nowhere*, with Jeremy Allen White from *The Bear* set to star.
