Fawad Khan Opens Up About Stardom and Craft: ‘I might become addicted…’

Fawad Khan, currently busy promoting his new show Barzakh, has shared his thoughts on managing his fame and staying focused on his craft in a recent interview with Mid Day. The show marks his reunion with actor Sanam Saeed after a 12-year hiatus.

In the interview, Fawad Khan expressed his discomfort with the trappings of stardom. “I feel uneasy,” Khan admitted. “Sometimes I think I wasn’t meant for this. If I focus too much on the glamour of fame, I worry I might become addicted. I consciously keep my distance from it because today’s fame might not last. I’d rather experience a soft landing if I ever fall from grace. My passion lies in my craft, and if I take stardom too seriously, I might neglect my work. It’s better to stay detached from it.”

Khan also took a moment to reflect on his gratitude towards his fans. “I consider myself very fortunate,” he said. “People often say, ‘You look okay, what’s the big deal?’ It’s not modesty; it’s realism. Looks fade, and I deeply appreciate the support from my fans, especially the female fans. However, I must admit, I have a healthy respect for the men in their lives.”

In addition to his television work, Fawad Khan is set to make his Bollywood comeback with an upcoming romantic comedy co-starring Vaani Kapoor. The film, which explores the story of two individuals who help each other heal and eventually fall in love, is highly anticipated by fans. Khan, known for his roles in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Kapoor and Sons, and Khoobsurat, is poised to bring his signature charm to the silver screen once again.
