Fan Calls Diljit Dosanjh’s Mumbai Concert a ‘Disaster’

A Mumbai-based Instagram user expressed her frustration after attending Diljit Dosanjh’s Dil-Luminati Tour in Mumbai. Despite spending ₹12,000 on gold section tickets, she described the experience as the “worst night of my life.”

She shared a video of the singer performing on stage but lamented that her premium seating offered no clear view. “Paid 12k to see nothing,” she said in her Instagram rant.

Harassment and Mismanagement

The fan revealed multiple issues that ruined her experience:

• Overcrowding: She compared the venue to a “local train,” noting there was no space to dance or even let her hair down.
• Harassment: She alleged that a man inappropriately touched her and dismissed her complaints by saying, “there’s no space.”
• Hostile Crowd: She was scolded by “aunties” for singing and told to “shut up.” When her sister expressed concern about men falling on her, the women retorted, “If you can’t handle this, you shouldn’t come to concerts.”

Overwhelmed by the ordeal, she admitted to crying during the concert.

Poor Venue and Infrastructure

The attendee criticized the venue for being unfit to host a concert of this scale, suggesting it should have been held in a stadium. She added, “If India doesn’t have the infrastructure, then don’t bring the tour here.”

The fan contrasted this experience with a previous concert she attended in Dallas, which she described as the best night of her life. “Imagine that—my best and worst nights were the same concert in different countries,” she wrote.

Call for Better Management

She concluded her post by calling the Mumbai concert a “waste of money and time,” urging better planning for such events in India.
