Facing Backlash, Aamir Khan’s Team Changes Logo to Indian Flag

Aamir Khan has once again come under fire. This time, netizens have called for a boycott of his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par. The controversy started due to his delayed support for Operation Sindoor and the resurfacing of an old video from his visit to Turkey.

Aamir Khan Productions Updates Profile Photo Amid Outrage

Amid the growing criticism, Aamir Khan’s production company made a sudden move on Friday. They replaced their social media display picture with the Indian national flag. This change appeared across all platforms — X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and Facebook.

Consequently, many users saw this as an attempt to control the damage. The hashtag #BoycottAamirKhan quickly gained traction online.

Internet Users Question the Timing

Soon after, social media platforms were filled with screenshots and strong reactions. Many questioned the timing of the DP change.

One Reddit user commented, “Lol, he’s being boycotted online so clearly did it as damage control.”

Another user wrote, “Bekaar mein damage control kar rahe hain, aisa karne se thodi na boycott karne wale inko chhod denge.” (They’re doing damage control for no reason; it’s not like people calling for a boycott will stop because of this.)

What Triggered the Boycott?

The outrage seems to come from two main reasons. Firstly, people think Aamir Khan’s support for Operation Sindoor was only for publicity since his movie is releasing soon. Secondly, an old video of him in Turkey went viral again, leading to fresh criticism.

Aamir Khan’s Earlier Comments on National Issues

Earlier, after the Pulwama terror attack, Aamir Khan had spoken publicly. He told ABP News:
“We need justice and assurance that it won’t happen again. We believe in our government, and we should let them do the work. I have full faith in them.” Still, critics feel his current gestures appear forced and calculated.

Trailer Out, Film to Release in June 2025

Meanwhile, the trailer for Sitaare Zameen Par was recently released. While some fans appreciated it, others remained upset. As a result, the boycott calls have not stopped. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on June 20, 2025.
