Bosco Martis Reveals 5-Hour Wait for Katrina Kaif on ‘Kala Chashma’ Shoot

Choreographer Bosco Martis recently shared behind-the-scenes moments from the hit song “Kala Chashma,” revealing the challenges he faced while working with Katrina Kaif.

Delay on Set Due to Outfit Issues

In a conversation with BBC Asian Network, Bosco opened up about how Katrina’s outfit led to a long delay during the shoot. He said, “Katrina was wearing a lehenga, and the moves that we had designed, required footwork. I remember we lost 5 hours because on the first day, we had Katrina wearing a lehenga.”

He added that they had to wait another five hours the next day while Katrina changed into a custom saree designed by Manish Malhotra. Bosco explained that the saree worked better for the dance, especially because it highlighted Katrina’s leg movements. “The second day, we had to wait for 5 hours so that she could come in a designer saree that she had created with Manish Malhotra,” he said.

Despite the delay, Bosco believes the final result justified the wait. “When you see all those things come together, you feel the 5 hours were worth the wait because then you see Katrina do her magic,” he added.

Bosco’s Notable Work in Bollywood

Bosco is known for choreographing some of Bollywood’s biggest dance hits. One of his recent successes includes Jhoome Jo Pathaan, which featured Shah Rukh Khan and went viral shortly after its release. He also worked on Chuttamalle from the upcoming film Devara: Part 1, starring Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor, and Tauba Tauba from Bad Newz.

Disappointed Over Missing Credit

In the same interview, Bosco shared his disappointment about not receiving credit for choreographing Chuttamalle. Although the song gained a lot of attention, he said the team did not mention him during promotions. “I wish Janhvi would have spoken about it in her promotions, but fine, it’s okay,” he said.

He pointed out the difference in how actor Vicky Kaushal handled a similar situation. When Tauba Tauba became popular, Bosco noted that Vicky made sure to mention him in interviews and public events
