‘Avengers Assemble For Democracy’: Marvel Cast Supports Kamala Harris | WATCH

As the 2024 US Presidential Election approaches, celebrities are rallying to encourage voter participation, with notable support for former Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris. This Thursday, Harris received a significant endorsement from the cast of Marvel’s Avengers, marking a high-profile moment in the campaign against former President Donald Trump.

Avengers Cast Comes Together for a Cause

In a rare reunion, some of the most prominent stars from the Marvel Cinematic Universe participated in a video call to promote Harris’s candidacy. The video, shared by Robert Downey Jr. on Instagram, featured a star-studded lineup, including Chris Evans (Captain America), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Paul Bettany (Vision), Danai Gurira (Okoye), and Don Cheadle (War Machine). The cast brainstormed catchy slogans to rally support for Harris, with Danai Gurira playfully suggesting “Kamala Forever,” a nod to the famous ‘Wakanda Forever’ chant from Black Panther.

Eventually, they settled on the empowering phrase, “I’m Kamala Harris, and I’m down with democracy.” Downey Jr. shared the video with the caption, “Let’s #AssembleForDemocracy!!!” and tagged Kamala Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz, encouraging followers to engage in the electoral process.

Mark Ruffalo’s Call to Action

Mark Ruffalo, resharing the video on Twitter (now called X), emphasized the urgency of the upcoming election. He urged voters not to “sit this one out,” highlighting critical issues at stake, including women’s reproductive rights, climate change, LGBTQIA+ rights, public education, and social security. Ruffalo expressed the importance of the election by stating, “This shit is real, and it’s going to come for you.”

A Star-Studded Campaign Trail

Kamala Harris, who is locked in a tight race with Trump, has garnered endorsements from numerous celebrities, further energizing her campaign. Other high-profile supporters include Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift, Leonardo DiCaprio, Beyoncé, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Madonna, among others.

With the election set for November 5, the support from Hollywood stars could play a crucial role in mobilizing voters and shaping the electoral landscape as both candidates vie for the presidency.
