Celebrities Visit Malaika Arora After Her Father’s Passing

Following the death of television personality and model Malaika Arora’s father, Anil Mehta, on Wednesday, several celebrities visited her residence to offer condolences. Among those seen at her father’s home were Malaika’s ex-boyfriend, Arjun Kapoor, and her close friends, Kareena Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor. The visitors were seen leaving the house late at night after paying their respects.

Arjun Kapoor Assists Malaika

In a video shared online, Arjun Kapoor was spotted escorting Malaika to her car. Malaika left her father’s residence with her son, Arhaan Khan, while her sister, Amrita Arora, departed with her husband, Shakeel Ladak. Arjun also assisted Kareena and Karisma Kapoor in getting to their car before leaving.

Malaika Shares Statement on Her Father’s Death

On Wednesday evening, Malaika Arora released an official statement on Instagram on behalf of her family. The heartfelt message read: “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock by this loss, and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support, and respect.” The message was signed by Malaika, her mother Joyce, her sister Amrita, and other close family members.

Celebrities Offer Condolences

In addition to Arjun and the Kapoor sisters, many other celebrities visited Malaika to offer their support. Saif Ali Khan, Chunky Panday, and his daughter Ananya Panday were among those seen at the residence. Malaika’s ex-husband, Arbaaz Khan, along with his family members Sohail Khan, Salim Khan, and Salma Khan, also visited to pay their respects.

Police Investigation Into Anil Mehta’s Death

Earlier that day, the Mumbai Police stated that the initial investigation into Anil Mehta’s death suggested a possible suicide, though all angles were being explored. DCP Crime Branch, Raj Tilak Roshan, shared with the media that the deceased’s body had been sent for post-mortem, and teams from the police and forensics were conducting a thorough investigation.

Malaika Rushed Back to Mumbai

At the time of her father’s passing, Malaika was reportedly in Pune. She rushed back to Mumbai immediately upon hearing the news.
