Bollywood stars welcomed Diwali with grandeur, and amid the festive cheer, a video featuring actress Ananya Panday has taken the internet by storm. In this clip, Ananya’s reaction to spotting her image on a fuljhadi (sparkler) packet captivated viewers.
Ananya’s cousin, Alanna Panday, and her husband, Ivor McCray, shared a 15-minute vlog on November 4, 2024, showcasing their Diwali festivities with family. During a street shopping trip, Ivor noticed fuljhadi packets adorned with Ananya’s picture and promptly bought them as a surprise.
In the video, Alanna presented the sparkler packet to Ananya, who was seated in a pink ethnic outfit. Ananya’s eyes widened in astonishment as she exclaimed, “I’m on the fuljhadi… That’s my dream.” Initially unsure if it was genuinely her picture or just a prank, she then excitedly showed the packet to her mother, Bhavana Pandey, and took a photo of it to share on Instagram. Her uncle, Chikki Panday, humorously commented, “If you’re on the fuljhadi packet na, you’ve arrived,” which made Ananya beam with joy. She even posed for photos with her parents, holding the sparkler packets.
The vlog also captured Ananya enjoying quality time with her nephew, River. Cradling him in her arms, she adorably refused to hand him over to his parents when they stood up for the Diwali puja. In a heartwarming moment, she recorded a short video of herself with River, saying, “I love you.” The vlog also featured a glimpse of the picture she later shared on Instagram, holding River and a ladoo, and another scene of her helping Alanna with sparklers.
On the professional front, Ananya Panday is set to appear in a film inspired by the life of C. Sankaran Nair, co-starring Akshay Kumar and R Madhavan. Additionally, she is working on the second season of her popular web series, Call Me Bae.
