Ananya Panday’s ‘CTRL’ Set for October Release—Find Out More Details Inside

Actor Ananya Panday’s upcoming film CTRL is set to make its debut on Netflix. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, the film will premiere on October 4. Netflix has already begun building excitement by releasing a video featuring images of Ananya from the film, accompanied by the message, “Think again. CTRL releases on 4 October, only on Netflix.”

The film’s official synopsis reveals that CTRL stars Ananya Panday as Nella Awasthi and Vihaan Samat as Joe Mascarenhas, a couple who create content together and have a strong online following. The story explores what happens when their relationship ends and questions how much of their lives they have shared online. In a world where data holds significant power, CTRL delves into themes of control and privacy, questioning how much of our lives we are willing to expose.

Ananya Panday expressed her excitement about working with Vikramaditya Motwane and producer Nikhil Dwivedi, noting that the film is both engaging and thought-provoking. She believes CTRL will resonate with viewers, given the rapid advancement of technology and our increasing reliance on it. She also highlighted Netflix as the ideal platform for such a compelling narrative.

Producer Nikhil Dwivedi echoed these sentiments, emphasizing that CTRL presents a thought-provoking narrative through a unique format. He praised the dedication of the cast and crew in bringing the film to life and expressed enthusiasm for the film’s collaboration with Netflix, aiming to reach a broad audience with its universally relevant themes.

Ruchikaa Kapoor Sheikh, Director of Original Films at Netflix India, praised the film as a genre-bending story that combines thrills and entertainment. She commended Vikramaditya Motwane for his skillful direction and Ananya Panday for her powerful performance.

Director Vikramaditya Motwane elaborated on the film’s premise, noting that with the increasing amount of time we spend on digital devices, the concept of “screen time” has evolved into “screen life.” He emphasized that CTRL seeks to explore whether we are truly in control of our digital lives or if we are being controlled by them.
