Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant Wedding: Is Akshay Kumar Going To Miss The Wedding?
Akshay Kumar, renowned for his dedication and hard work in Bollywood, has been extensively promoting his highly anticipated film Sarfira, which premiered today. Despite being expected at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding, to which Anant personally invited him, Akshay will be absent due to testing positive for COVID-19.
As per the media reports, Akshay began feeling unwell amidst Sarfira promotions and decided to get tested after learning that some of his team members had contracted COVID-19. His positive test results came in on Friday morning, forcing him into immediate isolation and causing him to miss both the concluding promotional events of Sarfira and the celebrity-studded wedding.
The monsoon season has seen a resurgence of COVID-19 cases, impacting many, including Akshay Kumar. Sarfira, directed by Sudha Kongara and a remake of the Tamil film Soorarai Pottru (2020), hit theaters today. The film also stars Paresh Rawal, Radhikka Madan, and features a cameo by Tamil superstar Suriya.
Meanwhile, amidst Akshay’s absence, international celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas with Nick Jonas have arrived in Mumbai to attend the grand wedding hosted by Mukesh and Nita Ambani.
