Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan has expressed deep admiration for the Indian Army’s bravery following the Pahalgam terror attack and the military’s retaliatory Operation Sindoor. In a heartfelt social media post, Bachchan condemned the attack and honored the swift response of Indian forces. Describing the tragic scene in Pahalgam, Bachchan shared his sorrow, emphasizing the cruelty of the terrorists.
He quoted his late father, renowned poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan, invoking the emotional line, “There are ashes of the funeral pyre, the world is asking for vermilion,” and linked it to the military’s response with Operation Sindoor. Bachchan ended with an impassioned salute to the Indian Army, drawing on his father’s words: “You will never stop; you will never turn back; you will never bow down. Take an oath, take an oath, take an oath! Agni Path!”
The Indian government had earlier accused Pakistan of violating the ceasefire agreement, hours after the operation’s commencement. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri confirmed the violations and stressed that India’s armed forces had been instructed to respond firmly to any further aggression. Operation Sindoor aimed to neutralize terror infrastructure across the border in retaliation for the attack.
