The Mumbai police have registered an FIR against actor Ajaz Khan, producer Rajkumar Pandey, and others for allegedly airing obscene content in their web show House Arrest. The Amboli police station official confirmed the complaint came from Bajrang Dal activist Gautam Ravriya. “We registered a case against actor Ajaz Khan, producer Rajkumar Pandey of the web show ‘House Arrest’ and other persons from Ullu app,” the officer said.
NCW Summons Ullu CEO and Khan
Meanwhile, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken suo motu notice of the show’s content. Consequently, it has summoned Ullu App CEO Vibhu Agarwal and host Ajaz Khan. They must appear before the commission on May 9. The NCW slammed the series for “coercive and vulgar content involving women participants.”
Outrage Over Disturbing Clip
A brief clip from the April 29 episode went viral and fueled the backlash. It shows Khan urging female contestants to perform intimate acts on camera. Despite their clear discomfort and refusals, he presses them on. This scene sparked strong reactions online and among political leaders.
Ullu Removes the Show
In response, Ullu pulled House Arrest from its platform. Now, a search for the series on the app returns “Your search for ‘House Arrest’ did not find any matches.” The removal follows mounting pressure over the show’s explicit material.
