Actress Shazahn Padamsee is all set to marry Ashish Kanakia, which will include a one-of-a-kind Broadway-style musical night to honour her theatre legacy.
Actress Shazahn Padamsee is set to wed businessman Ashish Kanakia, and will host a special Broadway-inspired pre-wedding celebration. The evening honours her late father, Alyque Padamsee, who left a theatrical heritage.
Shazahn Padamsee, who has starred in Rocket Singh, Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji, and Housefull 2, is set to marry the businessman Ashish Kanakia on June 5. They were introduced through a mutual acquaintance and got engaged in November 2024. Ashish is the CEO of MovieMax Cinemas and a Director at Kanakia Group.

Shazahn Padamsee plans to put an elaborate theatrical twist to her pre-wedding celebrations by organising a Broadway-themed evening in addition to the traditional custom of haldi and sangeet. The event is a tribute to the Padamsee family’s influence on Indian theatre.
Moreover, Shazahn has planned the event herself, working closely with her sister Raell Padamsee, theatre director Quasar, and their mother. It will feature retro musical performances and live acts, all inspired by her late father Alyque Padamsee’s legacy. It is also known that some veteran artists from the stage, some close friends, and their extended family will also be performing at night.
Following the wedding, a grand sangeet will be hosted in Mumbai for the couple’s industry friends and family.
